Our multi-dimensional and integrated approach blends the study of movement, biomechanics, physiology, and neuroscience; the connection to the brain and how you think, feel and move.  This is one of the many strengths of the Infinity Movement training methodology - we look at more than the muscular system; we look at all the other systems in the body and how movement assists the body as an integrated whole.

The Infinity Movement  Pilates Teacher Training Program is based on a blend of lineages and our movement backgrounds. From Stott, Polestar, Balanced Body, The Pilates Center, Kathy Grant Heritage Training with Cara Reeser, as well as yoga,  GYROTONIC ®,  GYROKINESIS ®, CoreAlign, Anatomy in Clay, triathlons, marathons, TRX, functional movement, play patterns and a few others. On our path to being movement trainers and educators we have developed and refined the skills required to adapt our teaching to the person in front of us. What you see on the outside is rarely what is happening on the inside, your eyes, ears and heart are powerful tools when it comes to training people.  We teach you these skills.

Infinity Movement training is based on a wholistic approach to the body, stemming from a deep foundation in both classical and contemporary Pilates training – two systems brought together and combined to give the most comprehensive Pilates training on the market today.

We begin with the Pilates exercises taught the way Joseph Pilates did and based on the sequence in his book “Return to Life through Contrology”

We believe it is important to understand his history, the history of his method and what inspired him and we aim to hold true to his work and beliefs. His goal was for people to regain vitality in their bodies and in their lives. From this strong foundation, we then delve into both 'classical' and 'contemporary' styles of exercises and teaching, all with the over-riding principle of teaching to the person that is front of you.

How Infinity Movement training works

Becoming a MAT trainer :

You’ll need to complete all the program to Advanced work and pass an exam at the end to be mat certified by Infinity Movement.

Certified trainers (in any methods) :

Feel free to join any session to gain insights into different methodologies. Infinity Movement embraces both classical and contemporary Pilates and we share our knowledge in both allowing you to explore and decide what works best for you and your client.

Non Pilates Trainers and Practitioners :

If you want to find out more about the method or anatomy then you can also join any of our weekends.

Courses are generally 2 days in duration and over weekends, it is not possible to only do one of the days, we ask for your commitment to the whole weekend.  We do of course understand there can be exceptional circumstances so please let us know and we are willing to discuss possibilities.

As you move through the program, we offer you possibilities and options, expanding your approach to movement. We play, explore and experience in our own bodies with the ultimate goal to grow and decide what works best for each of us and each other. We believe there no one “right” way to move or to teach; we teach you how to be adaptable with what and to who you are training and who you are as their teacher.

We empower and encourage clients and trainees to step out of their comfort zone physically and mentally and become aware.

At the end of your journey you will be a

Certified MAT Pilates Teacher

by Infinity Movement.

Our strictness with optimal alignment is paired beautifully with our sense of curiousity to play with movement and breath, there is no one right way.

Pilates Principles

We begin with Pilates Principles, the guidelines that Pilates taught by and are to be kept in mind as we move through each exercise.  We then start with the foundation movements – the what to move, what to keep still and how to start to put together a simple class.

Teaching and Movement Skills

We take a deeper look at what it means to be a teacher and the movements themselves.  How to move from the inside out and gain a more sensed approach to movement, adding in transitions and creating a seamless flow.

Anatomy for Movement

We dive deep into the body and how it all connects. From neurological to the musculoskeletal system including the mind, nerves, organs as well as how bones, muscles, tissues and fascia are integrated and work together to enable movement and create wellbeing.

Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Movements

With a strong foundation, all movement looks effortless. We progress through levels, layering the exercises and adding to your repertoire so all movements are achievable.

are worth hours of sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion.”
