PILATES TEACHER TRAINING 2021

Our training is divided into sections, some open to all, some to those who are already teachers or who are on the teaching path.
Pilates Principles
We begin with Pilates Principles, the guidelines that Pilates taught by and are to be kept in mind as we move through each exercise. We then start with the foundation movements – the what to move, what to keep still and how to start to put together a simple class.
Teaching and Movement Skills
Here we take a deeper look at what it means to be a teacher and the movements themselves.
How to move from the inside out and gain a more sensed approach to movement, adding in transitions and creating a seamless flow.
Anatomy for Movement
We dive into the neurological - musculoskeletal system how the mind, bones, muscles, tissues, fascia are integrated and work together to enable movement.
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Movements
When you work on the foundations, you make movement look effortless. We progress you through levels by layering the exercises and adding to your repertoire so all movements are achievable.
Pilates Equipment
Building on a solid understanding of Pilates Mat work, we take it to the equipment:
Reformer, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Small Barrel, Spine Corrector and Trapeze Table.
Each piece offers its own unique challenges, adding in springs can vastly alter a movement.

Reformer
The Reformer is a highly versatile piece of equipment with the ability to give you a strong full body workout and still focus on good movement and alignment.
Chair
The Chair and High Chair are strong pieces of equipment that will highlight imbalances and challenge you physically and mentally.
Ladder Barrel, Small Barrel, Spine Corrector
The Barrels without their use of springs are more stable and designed for spinal movement in all planes.
Trapeze Table
The Trapeze Table refines movement patterns by allowing us to isolate and focus deeper.
All pieces are unique as we all are and you will find your favourite. Ana loves the chair for its strength, whereas Lisa loves the beauty of the trapeze table. Join us to find yours.
